    Meet the Vendors: Captain Wells Studio

    Captain Wells is an artistic collaboration of Heather Alston and Aaron Shirley.  Heather and Aaron both studied Art at Peru State College and have continued their artistic pursuits together, setting up to display art at shows and conventions across the Midwest. Their studio includes original art along with prints, stickers, sketch cards, wood journals, and crochet critters, along with other artistic pursuits from their families.

    Both artists also take commissions if you are looking for something unique!

    Meet the Vendors: Laser Bear Industries

    Laser Bear Industries is a 3D Printing, 3D Design, Electronics Engineering, and specialty Laser Marking company based in Omaha Nebraska. We specialize in making custom solutions for gaming in many forms from tabletop, to card, and video gaming.

    We are a “for gamers by gamers” company that sticks true to our desire to make things that we want to use in our own gaming sessions. We were founded in 2019, and come from a background of 3D modeling, 3D printing, and electronics design going back more than a decade.

    You can find fantastic dice towers, fancy dice storage, custom deck boxes, fidget toys, and much more at our booth. We also take custom orders and are able to print on demand for anything from minis to cosplay pieces if you provide a valid printable file for the project.

    Vendor: Rochelle’s Designs

    You want designs? Well have we got good news for you: Rochelle has them!

    Rochelle Gallagher has been making jewelry for many years,
    and she’s been a vendor and supporter at Nuke-Con for probably just as long.

    Rumor has it that she’s even started taking custom orders!
    So whatever designs you don’t see at her table, Rochelle can make them!

  • Vendor: Ground Zero Bellevue

    Vendor: Ground Zero Bellevue

    Ground Zero Comics opened in Bellevue in 1987, and have been a fixture in the local game hobby scene ever since!

    While their name is Ground Zero Comics, they also carry a wide and diverse selection of books, card games, board games, classic video games, new toys, and vintage toys.  The store is more than 3,500 square feet with well over 200,000 items for sale.

    Their vendor tables will be chock-full of comics, cards, games, RPG books, minis, and dice (of course). Dave will be presiding over his booth all weekend and he loves company!

    AHOY MATEYS! We are happy to shout from the crow’s nest that Shipwreck Dice has set sail and heading back to Nuke-Con Island again this year!

    Vendor: The Game Shoppe

    The Game Shoppe and its able ambassador Becky are back!

    Board games, card games, tchotchkes for games – The Game Shoppe has all these, and more!
    The Game Shoppe also keeps a tight schedule of gaming events all week. Check out their Facebook page to see what events are happening this week.

    Side Note: A little birdie told me that there will be lots of demo games, courtesy of the Game Shoppe!

    Jana Petty of Petty Printing is a crafter, and making customized dice trays
    and dice jewelry, plus gaming-themed tumblers and stickers is the craft!

    As Petty Printing is new to Nuke-Con, we encourage you to preview Petty Printing’s offerings on their Facebook page. You’ll recognize the Petty Printing booth by the bright blue theme! 

    Staffer Steve Note: Many of the items Jana makes can be made to order, so if you see something you like… perhaps it can be made to order in time for Nuke-Con!

    Vendor: Gaming at Joe’s

    Gaming at Joe’s (another new face at Nuke-Con) sells board games and other board game related items, such as dice, dice bags, and jewelry.

    “All my work has its roots in realism and the challenge is to accurately depict the images in my mind. My work ties together realms of reality and fantasy, with forays into the elements of the world around me. The goal is to create fantasy worlds that other people can imagine themselves traveling to…”
    As you can see above, Joe is also an indie game designer, so when you visit his booth be sure to ask him about what he’s working on right now.

    “My passion is to tell stories, making games allows me to take my stories and bring them to life, though either video games or physical games such as board games and card games. I have found that games have two benefits for people, they both allow people to come together and create a bond, and they also allow people to escape to that world and take a break from their day-to-day life.”
