    We had such a good time at our Aftershock in May at the Bellevue Public Library that we’ve decided to do it again. And again!

    Gen Can’t on August 1st

    Gen Can’t is for all you folx choosing not to travel to Indianapolis. The Game Shoppe Bellevue is once again welcoming people for RPGs (there’s a DCC event already scheduled!), at least 3 new Asmodee games (Azul Kids, Gunsen: The Battle for Toshi Ranbo, Forest Shuffle: Smoky Mountains), and whatever else you all choose to bring and share.

    Yellow Cake on August 22

    Once again Holy Cross Lutheran Church is hosting us for an all-day game event. In addition to the games and good times, there will be food available on site. You can schedule your game here and see what else is being offered here.

    There will be a $5 charge at the door to help defray expenses. The charge is only $4 if you bring one or two (or a bagful!) of non-perishable food items. All food donations go to Holy Cross’s food bank.

    Who: You! and maybe two or three of your friends.

    Our first Aftershock of the year will be at Bellevue Public Library 2206 Longo Drive, Bellevue. on May 16th from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

    We will have a conference room off of the main library area so you’ll be able to find us. Admission is free.

    Game registration is now open! Because of space limits, this Aftershock we’re looking for board games and card games especially. Offer up your favorites to a whole new community!

    Our Aftershock Yellow Cake game day was a success!

    Heartfelt thanks to the volunteers who got up early on Saturday morning to set up and stayed late to clean up.

    More thanks to the game runners who provide the content we all got to enjoy.

    And thanks as well to you gamers who spent their time entertaining us as much as we entertained them. Not to mention the box full of food and cash donations that you all brought for Holy Cross’s food pantry — thanks for that, too.

    There’s plenty of room for board games, card games, and RPGs, as well. All games are suitable for new players and veterans alike.

    Break up the summertime doldrums with us! Bring your family and friends to our July Aftershock game day:

    Play all day for the low cost of $5. If you choose to bring two non-perishable food items for the food bank, the cost is only $4.

    “The best foods to donate to a food bank are shelf-stable, nutrient-rich items like canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans), peanut butter, whole grains (rice, pasta), canned fruits and vegetables, and low-sodium soups. Consider donating items that can be easily prepared, such as those with pop-top lids or that don’t require refrigeration or special ingredients.”
