    Kids’ Track

Welcome to Kids Track! Welcome to the Kids Track!

We want the kiddos to have plenty of choices to pick from and enjoy themselves as much as the adults do and these events are designated “kid friendly”.

A few of the events we expect to see:

    • Floriferous : “Experience joy as you gather flowers from your garden and pair them with your cards!”
    • Monkey Palace (the Lego game) : “Rebuild a breathtaking palace for a community of monkeys.”
    • Solar Gardens : “Draft tiles to build a rooftop garden in harmony with nature.”

Many thanks to Katy Themm for putting this schedule together, and to the GM Kids who’re running other games throughout the weekend.

  • Cosplays Welcome!

    Cosplays Welcome!

Whispers from behind the DM screens have told us that we may have neglected cosplay in our con space. Didn’t mean to make y’all feel unwelcome. Of course cosplays are acceptable!

The Nuke-Con community welcomes everyone to express themselves in any garb they see fit. We are a family friendly event, so we must request all cosplays be PG-13, but we would love for you to come as you are and have as much fun as you can with us!

  • Welcome Special Guest Chris Gonnerman

    Welcome Special Guest Chris Gonnerman

“I was born in Edina, Missouri at the old Gibson Hospital (which they closed not long afterward… coincidence?) and raised north of Hurdland, Missouri on a farm. I graduated from Knox County High School in 1983, and went to Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) but after almost three years I entered the Air Force. My plan was to finish my degree after I got out, but I never went back, and I have no regrets.”

While his work is in various computer-related fields, his passion for games and for writing led to the creation of the Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game rules in 2006 and the Iron Falcon Rules For Classic Fantasy Role-Playing in 2014, followed by several adventure modules and other supplements as well as a handful of less well-known works of fiction.

Chris makes occasional appearances at game conventions and other public game venues, and in 2024 worked with the Fall-Con Convention in Quincy, Illinois to create the Basic Fantasy Adventure Binge, a unique two-day event for almost thirty participants to play up to fourteen hours of Basic Fantasy RPG in a completely new, as-yet unreleased adventure series. This is expected to become an annual event, and the 2025 Adventure Binge is already under development.

Of course, you can find Chris on Facebook, Basic Fantasy Forum.
